ill health retirement and free meds Options

Just a quickie, i will be receiving ill health retirement pension the lower rate, end of July, i just wondered if anyone knows if i entitled to free prescriptions?, i have been buying the pre-payment card which i wil lcontinue to do if not , the only other monies i have comming in are the low rate care DLA.

Hi Ann Marie. I'm glad that you got the IHR, but shame it's not at the higher rate. I think that free prescriptions depend on you being on a low income....however I'm not sure if the household income would be taken into account or just your own. Best wishes from Naomi.
